About Site - Bio

A while ago I tried to be helpful to other computer users that desire to know their options when it comes to utilization of Big-Tech internet based products and services, with a links page that had a key and categorized things. I made that my whole website, but I still wanted a personal website, so I made it a sub-section of my main website.

This time though, I think I will make articles that are helpful to users while remaining a cool personal website, but actually having a purpose greater than being pretty and showing off my artwork. I want to give guides that will make obscure computer compatibility information known in an easy to digest format, I want to create inspirational pieces that will inform people on how they can act in these trying times.

I want this to be an accessible information station, covering broad topics and methods that at least make me feel at home in our digitalized lives. In the age of AI, misinformation and disinformation, I simply want to put out what I know for sure, because I have tested it in the case of technology, or becuase I have strong beliefs in social justice.

I don't want to let information be obfuscated and deleted by big corporations, so that even people who know where to look can't find it anymore, such as what version of a software to use with an older system. This passion for knowing how to do what I want to do drives me to do what I do, which is a to keep discovering alternative methods to the main method.

Computer systems today infuriate me, they offer convenience with a hidden catch that they get whatever they want out of you. This can range from your active attention in most cases, all the way up to something as sensitive as your personal data. I find comfort in using systems that these people have abandoned, as there's not going to be new controversial features pushed down my throat like an AI assistant, or a security dumpster fire waiting to happen.

I am a person who believes in quality information, and access to it provided to all, and I think I have a niche that some people may find useful, and others may find interesting to read about. I am open to any criticism on what I write, as long as it is constructive and helps me improve upon what I have made.
